DOWNTOWN "DO"
October 18, 2011
You may recall when ULI’s fall meeting was held in San Fran (c'mon, 2009 wasn’t that long ago). Yesterday we sat down with Sares-Regis’John Hagestad and Allen Matkins’ Mike Matkins, the chairs of this year’s fall meet (and 75 anniversary celebration), slated for Oct. 25-28 down in LA. They tell us despite the tough economy, the international org’s membership contributed a record more than $3.5Min sponsorships for this year’s event (no arm-twisting required, either). Among the many programs will be a capital markets session composed primarily of San Fran CRE pros. |
Beach Boys’ founder Brian Wilson will headline a 10-piece band during a concept at the Nokia Plaza. (Who says SoCal has no culture?) As many as 7,000 attendees are expected from all over the world. We know the distance between LA and The City is a tad longer than an MLB freeway series. John and Mike helpfully point out the event location on this painting. (Bisnow will be there in full force. For editorial, contact Sibley Fleming or marketing, Graham Cohen. See you there!) |
