| Last fall, we reported on groundbreaking for Red Star Apartments, a $23M, 119-unit affordable seniors development by The Michaels Organization and LINC Housing. The KTGY-designed project suffered a setback last week when an early morning fire broke out at the construction site. Yesterday we spoke with LINC president Hunter Johnson, who told us the dwelling was nearly 50% complete. “It was fully framed and almost totally destroyed.” No word yet on what caused the disaster, but plans are to start rebuilding as soon as authorities finish their investigation. |
