Beech Street Capital wasn’t about to let something like a different time zone get in the way of a seamless relationship with a new borrower. The nation’s No. 3 Fannie Mae DUS lender provided $11M to refi a portfolio of student housing complexes at UC Davis. This was the borrower’s first experience with the lender, according to Chicago-based VP Joel Mazur, who originated the transaction. Despite the time difference, his team “let the borrower know we were available 24/7, and I’m happy to say that they took us up on our offer plenty of times.” The borrower is the developer of the two complexes: the 100-unit Temescal Apartments and 41-unit Pepperwood Apartments. |
