According to an article by The Globe and Mail, San Fran-based Klout (its “Klout Score” measures influence using data from the likes of Twitter) is taking its social media monitoring business into the future—literally. The firm is hard at work developing algorithms to predict social media trends of the future. Klout’s research already has shown that people don’t react to something until two or three others in their social group are aware of it. Oh, herd mentality—no one wants to go first. |
