The Oscars of Bay Area Buildings
The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of San Francisco and BOMA Oakland/East Bay just dished out the Bay Area TOBYs (The Outstanding Buildings of the Year). In the 250k to 500k SF category, Kilroy's 100 First took home the prize. For the 500k SF to 1M SF group, Kilroy won for 303 Second. And the best medical office building went to Harsch Investment Properties' 450 Sutter. Above, Kilroy's 303 Second team accepts the award with BOMA Oakland/East Bay president Manny Moreno (far left), associate member Karen Cowan (next to Manny) and BOMA SF president Blake Peterson (far right). All facets of a building’s operations are evaluated in the judging process, including tenant relations programs, community involvement and emergency evacuation procedures and training. The awards were coined by BOMA International in 1985.
