Taylor Morrison Home Corp. bought five parcels in the Bay Area for $41.45M with an eye toward residential development. The land can accommodate 260 homes and will pave the way for the construction of three new neighborhoods in the town of Folsom Ranch, the company said in a statement.

"Taylor Morrison is moving forward with three series of single-family detached homes in the project including the extension of our past highly successful Folsom Ranch communities," Taylor Morrison's Sacramento Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tim Hearl told the San Francisco Business Times in an email. "This community will be adding a new product lineup that we are excited to deliver to the Folsom Ranch area, increasing our square footage and living space offerings."

Putnam Daily, a longtime commercial real estate broker active in the San Francisco Bay Area, announced the formation of Fisher James Capital. Fisher James Capital will focus on net-lease investment brokerage and capital placement, according to a press release. Lindsey Snider, Vahe Nokhoudian and Jenna Powell will join Daily. 

SALES

Taylor Morrison purchased an apartment complex in Mountain View from Spieker Cos. for $57M. Taylor Morrison plans to raze the 10-unit complex with the intention of building row housing, according to a plan approved by the city in 2021. 

LEASES

Every, an alternative protein company, leased 49K SF of office in Genesis Station, a life sciences building in Daly City. The space will be split about 60-40 between research and development and office.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced a $3M legal settlement with the California Civil Rights Department and Project Sentinel to end a lawsuit that accused the development of discriminating against families with children by prohibiting outdoor play activities and requiring supervision of children under the age of 14 in all common areas.
