Bisnow Scoop: Pet Group Lands In Oakland
The Bay Area might have a dearth of hotels, but we've got the scoop on one coming to Oakland that takes furry guests only.
Wag Hotels just inked a 31k SF lease at 39 4th, near Jack London Square. It's the first Oakland location for the 9-year-old hotel breed, which has three spots in S.F., Redwood City and Sacramento. Among the perks: all day play cameras, hypoallergenic king size beds, deluxe cat condos and written report cards. Lee & Associates principal Craig Hagglund repped the building owner, B Cubed.
Craig also repped CFR Rinkens in a two-building warehouse lease in Fremont for 24k SF at 44400 Osgood and for 55k SF at 2875 Prune, with nine acres of yard. Here's Craig (third back from left) and the crew at their holiday lunch last week in North Beach. The team had a big year, locking down a bevy of leases in East Bay. Craig says he expects the pace to continue into 2015. Investors and developers will vigorously pursue deals, he predicts, and limited supply will make it more difficult for tenants.
