TMC Financing CEO Barbara Morrison—and another panelist next week—loves shelling out tourism dollars. (Check out that sunny smile in Baja.) We just got off the phone with her while on vacation in Ashland, Ore. for the Shakespeare Festival, where she's binging on plays and river rafting with a group of friends. TMC lends on hospitality projects throughout California, having recently done a $40M deal for a ground-up construction project outside of Yosemite. She's pursuing smaller flags, like the new Marriott brand called Fairfield Inn and Suites in South S.F. As far as financing is concerned, the challenge is finding someone who wants to do the construction piece. Meanwhile, acquisition financing is getting easier to find.
