CBRE has recruited a team of life sciences specialists from Kidder Mathews’ San Francisco office to work on leasing and sale transactions in the Bay Area.

Gregg, Michael, Sai and Jordan Domanico jumped to CBRE, according to a press release Tuesday from the brokerage.

The move represents a return to CBRE for Gregg Domanico, who worked there from 1992 to 1997. He managed Kidder Mathews’ life sciences practice and helped institutional clients deliver more than 30M SF of life sciences development, representing $15B.

Gregg Domanico will take the title of vice chairman while Michael and Sai Domanico will serve as senior vice presidents. Jordan Domanico will be a first vice president.

“Gregg, Michael, Sai and Jordan have been among the top-producing life sciences teams in the Bay Area and we are thrilled to welcome them to CBRE. The addition of this team complements our growing life sciences practice in the Bay Area and expands our services to clients across the sector,” Joe Wallace, president of CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services in Northern California, said in the release.

Life sciences is a growing specialty for brokerages and developers across the country as bioscience companies grow their staff and increase their need for office and lab space.

San Francisco is a leading target for life sciences companies among major U.S. cities because of its talent pool.
