Welcome to The San Francisco Shipyard
We just got back from an exclusive press preview of the hip onsite welcome center for The San Francisco Shipyard. The sales launch is just a few days away, with the first batch of homes available for move-ins this September. Stay tuned for more coverage tomorrow on the transformative urban development, including a tour from Lennar Urban's Sheryl McKibben and close-up construction shots of the residences rising before our eyes (let's just say we wore the wrong shoes). We also enjoyed a wine tasting from S.F. Mead Company and catered lunch from Radio Africa & Kitchen, both Hunters Point/Bayview neighbors. Life is tough.
There's also a sales center opening at 645 Howard, meant to drive interested city dwellers/employees to the site (literally; transportation will shuttle them there). The first release of 88 homes will occur in its first two buildings, Olympia and Merchant. We've got the scoop on pricing, which starts in the mid $400ks for Merchant condos and in the mid $600s for Olympia townhomes. Check out this rendering of the Merchant's roof. S.F.'s skyline never looked so good.
