S.F. Board Upholds Kilroy Impact Fee, Denies Condo Challenge

The San Francisco Board of Appeals decided this week Kilroy Realty needs to pay a $6.4M impact fee and denied multiple appeals set on overturning the city's approval of Paramount Group's planned condo tower at 75 Howard St.

In a 3-2 vote, the board denied Kilroy Realty's appeal concerning the Transit Impact Development Fee for The Exchange on 16th in Mission Bay (above). Kilroy could request a rehearing. The dispute of the fee has delayed permitting of construction, according to SocketSite. Kilroy purchased the Mission Bay property in 2014 and broke ground on The Exchange in September.

The board also voted down 4-1 the challenge to the city planning commission's approval of a height exception for the 220-foot building planned at 75 Howard St. [SS]
