More Housing Proposed For San Francisco's Tenderloin
San Francisco’s Tenderloin may soon be getting 115 units of housing. The city received a formal application in April for a 13-story, 130-foot building owned by Sandhill O’Farrell, SocketSite reports. The Brick-designed building at 550 O’Farrell St. would include two levels of parking at grade for 21 cars.
The building would include about 87K SF of new residential with a mix of studios and one-bedroom units under 600 SF; 29 units would be below-market. A rooftop deck and 1,400 SF of retail space will be included. The plan will raze an existing two-story garage at the location.
Earlier in April, another Tenderloin project was proposed that would build more than 200 prefabricated units of workforce housing.
