$500M In Damages Sought Over Sinking Millennium Tower
The much-speculated lawsuit following the sinking of San Francisco's Millennium Tower has been filed against the tower’s builders, Millennium Partners, and Transbay Joint Powers Authority by a resident seeking $500M in damages.
John Eng filed the papers alleging poor design and damage caused by surrounding construction caused the building to sink and tilt far more than expected, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Millennium Partners and the TJPA have exchanged a harsh barrage of press releases with each asserting the other party was responsible for the luxury residential tower’s woes. Surrounding developers such as Jay Paul Co have been quick to point out their foundations are more architecturally sound. [SVBJ]
