Shorenstein Begins Company's First Ground-Up Multifamily Project In San Francisco In Decades
Shorenstein has started construction on a 304-unit apartment building at 1066 Market St. in San Francisco. The $160M project is the company’s first project in San Francisco in decades, the San Francisco Business Times reports. Swinerton Builders will construct the project, designed by Arquitectonica and Aetypic. The 12-story building will include over 4K SF of retail.
The project at 1066 Market St. is one of a handful of new residential projects rising up in Mid-Market that could add over 750 units to the neighborhood. Group I plans to build a mixed-use project with 247 condos and a 232-room hotel at 950 Market St. Tidewater Capital and Warhorse plan to build 186 units at 1028 Market St.
Construction on 511 housing units at Trinity Place is underway at 1145 Market St. Trinity Place will total 1,900 units on 4 acres once all phases are completed in 2021.
Encore Capital Management finished construction of its 90-unit condo complex Stage 1075 earlier this year and half of the units were sold by early April.
Shorenstein’s project is expected to deliver during Q2 2020, according to the company's website.
