Two Residential Towers Planned for Downtown Oakland
Downtown Oakland could see as many as 551 units added to its housing inventory. Developer Gerding Edlen has plans for a 206-unit residential and retail tower at 1700 Webster St that could receive approval as early as September. Just last week, District Development received approval for a 33-story mixed-use high-rise with 345 residential units at 19th Street and Broadway. Plans for 1700 Webster call for a 24-story building with 6k SF of ground-floor commercial space, reports The Registry. Construction is slated to begin in 2016 for District’s project, which will include 10k SF of ground-floor retail space. Here's CEO Mark Edlen and partner Patrick Wilde. [TR]
