A 93K SF medical office building is planned for development in Santa Rosa by developer Accretive Realty Advisors.

The property will be named Brookwood Medical and is located two blocks from Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, according to The Registry.

Brookwood Medical is Accretive’s first Northern California development, and Gensler is the architect.

“Our buildings are developed for patients, as well as doctors, with an emphasis on delivering the most modernized and technologically advanced care within sustainable and comforting environments,” Accretive CEO Thomas LeBeau said in comments to The Registry.

“Our clients are not just the medical professionals in the buildings we design and manage, but also the people who come to visit them. We’re confident that our people-centric mindset benefits doctors and patients alike.”

Sonoma County is an area primed for more medical office redevelopment, as the county is full of older or obsolete buildings, Newmark Knight Frank Managing Director of the Healthcare West Division Garth Hogan said in comments to The Registry.

Proposals for new medical office development have grown in number in recent months. PMB and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital proposed development of a new medical office building in San Jose in August, according to SF YIMBY.

A massive merger of Healthcare Trust of America and Healthcare Realty Trust into a medical office REIT occurred early this year, creating a pro-forma equity market capitalization of approximately $11.6B.
