All Full For Meridian
Well that didn't take long: San Ramon-based Meridian Property Co just found a tenant to fill out the remaining space in the medical office building it bought at 5900 State Farm Dr in March. At the time of purchase, the half-leased, 69k SF building in Sonoma County in Rohnert Park called Kaiser Permanente its sole tenant, having occupied the first-floor space since 2003. Meridian went on the prowl for one or a few tenants to occupy the other floor. Now it's landed one: Petaluma Health Center. (No wonder Meridian COO John Pollock is all smiles, here with his wife Susan.) The lease also proves his vision to attract future healthcare providers in the area (they're so cliquey) and fulfill the need for more medical service providers in the Rohnert Park market is underway.
Meridian plans to upgrade the lobby and do other TIs. Petaluma Health Center’s Rohnert Park facility is expected to serve 5,000 patients in the first year with the potential of 15,000 in subsequent years. Meridian is working collaboratively with Petaluma Healthcare Center, the architect, and the yet-to-be picked general contractor to create a space that embodies Patient Medical Home principles. Meridian also has some news further south. The company received design review approval back in March for an outpatient clinic in Mountain View and it's scheduled to go before the zoning board on May 28 for its final discretionary approval.
