Skanska Employees Hit the Track
Skanska VP of ops Brian Thomas (center) started his career as an iron worker and worked his way up to a top exec post at the steel giant. The 55-year-old also apparently has legs of steel, having placed third in his company's team this past weekend at the challenging Spartan Sprint at AT&T Park, a four-mile run with lots of obstacles and stairs. He's got his arm around one of the people who beat him, colleague Courtney Lorenz, who came in second. To his right is Skanska trio Ana Camarena, Amanda Hu, Tasha Tenturier, and Greg Roth and Julie Hyson are giving bunny ears.
The Skanska team placed 112th overall amongst more than 300 teams. Brian's run a few Spartan races, and he's already got the team signed up for another. Here Julie, Brian, and Courtney bond in AT&T's Derby Grill. Skanska is leading the steel erection of the Transbay Transit Center project, which is just getting underway.
