What Tech Types Crave Today
We checked in with Fisher Development's Sydney Bernier to get a pulse on what companies across town want in their new spaces. Among the top trends: exposed ceilings, brick, and white washes throughout. We surprisingly learned that it's not just tech startups looking for that simplistic aesthetic.
For example, check out accounting firm Bregante + Co.'s new 10k SF office in the Financial District's Bently Reserve building, above, which was designed by Smithgroup. Another Fisher job is investment bank Pacific Crest Securities' 6k SF SoMa office, designed by Huntsman. (If cubicles get any cooler, Dilbert will become a sex symbol.)
Here's the reception area at consumer tech giant Jawbone's new 23k SF office in Dogpatch by WZ Architects. Fisher is also working with 500 Startups, which recently inked a deal at 814 Mission for 11k SF.
