Amazon-Owned Twitch Headed for Huge Expansion
After spending nearly $1B cash for Twitch, a website founded by Emmett Shear (pictured) where gamers live-stream their peers playing video games, Amazon.com is paying for the gaming site to move into prime San Francisco office space.
Twitch is reportedly in serious talks to occupy at least 150k SF in the upcoming 19-story, 370k SF tower at 350 Bush St in San Francisco's North Financial District.
WeWork is also rumored to be in talks for a big deal at the same building. Of course the new property is one of only a few options left for the expanding tech tenants, as half of the 4.9M SF of S.F. office space in the pipeline has already been claimed by Dropbox, Salesforce or LinkedIn.
350 Bush is developed by Lincoln Property and Gemdale, and is expected to open in Q1 2017. [WBJ]
