Huge Lease Renewal Signed By Charles Schwab, S.F. HQ Maintained
Charles Schwab Corp isn't leaving San Francisco anytime soon. It just renewed its lease for 417,266 SF at 211 Main St for 10 years in what's being called one of the largest deals of the year.
Charles Schwab spokesperson Sarah Bulgatz told the San Francisco Business Times the company will consolidate its San Francisco non-branch office employees into the 211 Main St building.
The company previously subleased 315k SF to Fitbit at 215 Fremont St and has been slowly moving out. The firm has also been moving employees to Texas and Colorado, which have lower office rents. Charles Schwab employs 1,590 in S.F., compared to 2,040 last year, reports the San Francisco Business Times.
