Veritas Picks 600 Cal
We just heard that Veritas Investments inked a 30k SF deal to take the top two floors of the 20-story financial district tower. We confirmed the news last night at Colliers' cocktail party with Veritas CEO Yat-Pang Au (more from that party Monday). He told us the move is simply because the company needs more space to grow. Veritas is one of the largest owners and operators of local multifamily mixed-use properties. A recent deal for the firm was scooping up downtown's 6 Mint Plaza (the 25-unit apartment complex called Station House) for $21.5M from Virtu Investments. 600 Cal, which traded to Bentall Kennedy late last year, dumped more than 100k SF of contiguous space on the market. JLL is leasing it. Veritas will be subleasing from Wells Fargo.
