Failed S.F. Props Had Most Support in Mission, Bernal Heights
San Francisco's propositions to further limit short-term rentals and put a moratorium on new market-rate housing in the Mission District failed last week, but the highest votes in favor of the measures came from District 9 (most of the Mission and all of Bernal Heights).
Showing the divisiveness of both props in the Mission and Bernal Heights, 50% voted in favor of limiting short-term rentals (Prop F) and nearly 54% in favor of halting market-rate housing construction (Prop I), reports the SFist. Even with such a close race, those votes in favor topped most other districts.
Voter turnout in the Mission, however, was just about average at 30%, despite the interest in the two issues. [SFist]
