About 30 employees from KTGY Architecture + Planning’s Oakland office (above) participated in a cleanup day for Habitat for Humanity’s East Bay/Silicon Valley chapter. During the event at 10211 Bryon Ave in Oakland, KTGY volunteers cleared large piles of debris, furniture, trash and overgrown bushes. The crew removed 70 cubic yards (about three dumpsters full) of material.

The vacant lot near the Oakland Zoo will be transformed into energy-efficient townhouses. KTGY has long supported Habitat for Humanity and has designed several projects for the organization over the years.

KTGY celebrated its 25th anniversary by highlighting 25 Acts of Gratitude, which includes Habitat for Humanity build days where staff from all seven offices worked to build a home for a family in need. KTGY’s Making a Difference Program focused on feeding the homeless during Thanksgiving, building parks on vacant lots and educating girls in need.

CIRCLe Labs is an initiative of the Institute for STEM Education, founded by CSU East Bay. Wareham has actively been a part of a network supporting the institution since 2011. East Bay Economic Development Alliance has also been a key partner and members will provide STEM volunteers for CICLe Lab presentations.
