Restaurants Cater to Millennial Appetites for... Everything

Restaurants are employing several different methods to lure the all-important Millennial diner to their establishments.

Whether it’s shareable plates, adding extra electrical outlets for our charged-up world, or simply using Twitter handles for promotions and to stay in touch, restaurateurs throughout the industry are racing to capture the attention of the key demographic. Millennials number 83.1 million, the largest single age group in the US, and earning their loyalty now can have a huge impact on future sales. Chains such as Chipotle have become a favorite of the age group. Millennials have a strong preference for fresh ingredients and prefer a healthy slant to how meals are prepared, two staples of the nearly 1,900-store chain.

While dining out was a popular cutback for Millennials during the recession, there are some signs of a dining room comeback. Friday’s credits its “Endless Choice” promotion and the “Endless Appetizers” portion in particular with helping to boost Millennial business by over 50%[IBA]
