Surge of Retailers Head to Fremont

San Francisco Retail

A year after Catellus sold the 1.1M SF Pacific Commons Shopping Center in Fremont to Heitman (the biggest retail NorCal deal of 2013) and hired new leasing and property manager Vestar, the center just secured a dozen new retailers. Dick's Sporting Goods, The Kebab Shop and Buffalo Wild Wings opened in Q4. Next up to open is Dish 'N Dash in Q1, followed by a stream of others in the spring: Carter's/Osh Kosh, Bennigan's, Cream, Bowl of Heaven, Pancheros Mexican Grill, Boneheads, Technology Credit Union and Ono Hawaiian BBQ. This summer Vestar GM Jennifer Duarte told us about a new farmers market to encourage more foot traffic.
