Cushman & Wakefield To Lease Retail At Union Square’s Newest Ground-Up Mixed-Use Project
San Francisco Union Square’s first ground-up retail and office project in over three decades is underway. The 70K SF development project at 300 Grant Ave. will begin construction this week with plans for delivery in fall 2019 with opening spring 2020.
Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by A-Z 300 Grant LLC as the retail leasing brokerage for the building. Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman Kazuko Morgan, Senior Managing Director Pam Mendelsohn and Managing Director Rhonda Diaz will represent the landlord.
The property is owned by Lincoln Property Co. and St. Bride’s Managers in a JV that purchased the site for nearly $50M in 2014, according to the San Francisco Business Times.
The new ground-up development will consist of six floors, with retail on the first three floors and Class-A creative office space on the upper levels. The site is across the street from Banana Republic’s global flagship store. It will offer 180 feet of trophy retail frontage, Morgan said.
“300 Grant Ave is a one of a kind corner location,” Morgan said in a statement. “Corner Union Square availabilities are rare and highly sought after.”
Mendelsohn said in a statement the location is expected to attract flagship brands and bespoke fashion boutiques.
