CRE Student Teams in NAIOP Contest
This darn generation! You leave kids alone for one second and they get into... real estatetournaments? The 10th annual NAIOP Real Estate Challenge matched up teams from the University of Washington, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Alberta. Real estate students worked from January through late March to create and present a development proposal for a multi-faceted, real-world project. BC (pictured) took the prize.
Here's the team from UW. The Real Estate Challenge partnered with Vulcan Real Estate on two sites in South Lake Union: Chandlers Cove and Block 25. With the Mercer Corridor project and the rezone to be completed in 2013, Vulcan is planning the next phase of development to include those two sites as the first of the three Mercer blocks.
