DCI Engineers Reinforces Its West Coast Presence
DCI Engineers president Roger Heeringa says that civil and structural engineering are its main disciplines, but the company offers a diverse menu from both a geographic and project perspective. Like expanding the football stadium at Washington State University; redoing a 23-story Embassy Suites hotel in Seattle; and reimagining two high-rises in LA, including the 23-story LA LiveMarriott. The new DCI Irvine office opened in November and immediately began expanding due to great demand. Projects include The University of California Irvine School of Business, and the 1.7M SF Park Place (right across the street from the DCI office). Roger says that LA is keeping the firm busy in apartments, hotels, and schools. In San Francisco, a student housing project and an office building are currently in the works, and DCI is closing on a merger deal with a small firm that will launch DCI San Francisco.
