Entreprenuers Flock to Saturn
The new Saturn Building at 3417 Evanston Ave N in the Fremont neighborhood has obtained $12.9M portfolio loan. The lender tells us its a sign that demand forentrepreneurial incubator space is stepping up. (Sorry, garage makers. Tech businesses have better places to launch.) Seattle leads the way in such concepts, notes HomeStreet Bank EVP Randy Daniels. His bank originated the loan, the third in a series of loans for similar projects in the city. The Saturn Building, now 93% occupied, offers smaller spaces on shorter-term leases. (And were also looking forward to the day when its developer, Brian Regan, installs that 24-foot diameter model of the planet Saturn on the building.)
