NORDSTROM TO OCCUPY QWEST PLAZA
Nordstrom is set to dramatically boost the occupancy of Qwest Plaza at 1600 Seventh Ave following CenturyLink's sale of the building to Clarion Investment Partners for $137M, announced earlier this week. Nordstrom plans to lease more than 300k of the building, with CenturyLink remaining ensconced in its 260k as a tenant, bringing total building occupancy to around 88% (giving Qwest a B-plus in occupancy). The complicated deal was worked out by Newmark Knight Frank Frederick Ross's Victor Frandsen, Tim Harrington, and Alan Polacsek, who repped CenturyLink in the sale and subsequent lease, along with reps from Eastdil Secured. Washington Corporate Partners Real Estate's Clay Nielsen and Doug Hanafin repped Nordstrom in the lease, with Urban Renaissance Group representing Clarion.
