WHAT'S IN A NAME?
February 21, 2012
Everyone's abuzz with the prospect that Seattle may once again be home to a professional basketball team, thanks to San Francisco hedge fund manager Chris Hansen, who was in Seattle last week pitching a $500M plan for a new basketball/hockey stadium to Mayor Mike McGinn. Seems likely that if we build it the teams will come, but what would we name it? Seattle stadiums are nicknamed on a theme, from Century Link Arena (the "Clink"), SafeCo Field (the "Safe"), and Key Arena (you guessed it, the "Key"). Got an idea for the new arena's name or nickname? Tell us and we'll give the best one free tickets to our next Bisnow event, happening in March. |
