Vector Development To Build 382K SF Development In Covington
Vector Development Co. plans to build a $45M distribution center and self-storage facility in Covington. The 382K SF business park will feature two, 130K SF industrial buildings, plus a 122K SF, three-story self-storage facility with 950 units. Soos Creek Business Park will be Covington’s first major industrial center.
The park will cater to distribution, warehouse and manufacturing tenants.
Pennon Construction will be the general contractor, and Barghausen Consulting Engineers will provide civil engineering. SynThesis is the architect for the distribution center, and Site+Plan+Mix will be the architect for the self-storage facility.
Vector Development President Tyler Litzenberger said in a statement he expects to see similar centers popping up in this area due to its proximity to Auburn, Sumner and the Port of Tacoma.
“With market vacancy at record lows and as rents continuing to rise, the Covington area meets the demands of distributors and other businesses that want easy access to I-5, I-90 and Hwy. 167,” Litzenberger said. “In addition, the array of nearby amenities makes the location attractive for businesses and their employees and clients.”
