1.2M SF SODO Office/Retail Campus Gains Permit Approval
Urban Visions recently received permit approval from the city of Seattle for a commercial campus directly east of CenturyLink Field. The five-building development will include 1.2M SF of office and ground-level retail space.
The development is called S and is situated on a nearly 7-acre site in SODO, adjacent to Pioneer Square and the Chinatown district. It is near the hub of the Link Light Rail.
The S campus design includes large flexible office floor plates filled with natural light, rooftop decks on each building and outdoor terrace spaces on every floor.
Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2020. Seattle-based NBBJ is the architect.
“Not only is this campus going to be responsive to what today’s progressive companies are looking for in their office environment, but it is strategically located at the nexus of multiple transportation options that include bus, light rail, streetcar, train and bike accessibility,” Urban Visions CEO Greg Smith said.
“This development is a rare opportunity for businesses to lease the most creative, inspiring, visionary new office space of this scale in an extremely tight market,” Newmark Knight Frank Senior Managing Director Daniel Seger said.
Seger is representing Urban Visions in the pre-leasing process along with NKF Executive Managing Director Jesse Ottele, Senior Managing Director Cavan O’Keefe and Director David Marks.
