Amazon Takes 800k SF in SLU
What kind of space does Amazon want in Seattle? More. The retail behemoth is taking 800k SF in the Troy Block, which is underway in South Lake Union by Urban Renaissance Group (which recently acquired the developer Touchstone, which is now developing it as a unit of Urban Renaissance). Amazon will move into the first building of the Troy Block development in mid-2016, and into the second building a year later, The Seattle Times says. According to the paper, citing an unnamed source familiar with the deal, the company inked 15-year leases for the space. [ST]
