Seattle's Greener Than Ever. Here's Why.
Sustainable property development and management never stands still. There are constantly new technologies aimed at operating more efficiently and in a more green manner. Come find out about cutting-edge green properties in Seattle at our Seattle's Green Building Revolution event starting at 7:30am on Aug. 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle.
Among our speakers will be Daniels Real Estate president Kevin Daniels, who tells us a recent green element that his company has added to one of its developments, Stadium Place, is an urban farm—something that's still pretty rare in the city. It produces food throughout the year, making fresh produce available to Quality Athletics, one of the restaurants on-site.
At The Mark, which is currently rising to 44 stories, there will be a a 35-foot-tall living wall where plants grow in the Columbia Street facade, Kevin says. The LEED Gold property will also feature rooftop solar energy equipment and capture rainwater for reuse. "Most of the recent changes in the industry are improvements in green elements, such as PV panel efficiency, better E factors in glass and better LED lights," Kevin adds. Come hear more about it and other green Seattle developments at Bisnow's Green Building Revolution event starting at 7:30am on Aug. 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Sign up here.
