Google Takes Another Building Off Market
Another day, another Google building buy a short walk from its HQ. This time the tech giant has pounced on 2637 Marine Way in Mountain View for $14.9M. The single-story, 20k SF, Class-A office/R&D building had been 100% leased to Google. The property was originally built in 1968 and fully renovated in 2011 by Google (naturally we nabbed a Google street view shot). The seller was S.F.-based Drawbridge Realty, which has a 3M SF portfolio mostly in the western US. HFF's Steven Golubchik, Michael Leggett and Ben Bullock repped the seller. Google's been extremely active in its home region as of late, announcing it would move its drone ops to the area and that it purchased the San Bruno HQ of its YouTube division.
