Irvine Co, Lyft Partner To Ease Commute Of Santa Clara Square Tenants
Irvine Co and Lyft have launched a program to provide current and future office tenants at the 1.7M SF Santa Clara Square with Lyft credits. The partnership was based on a mutual interest in easing regional traffic, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing the lives of Silicon Valley residents and employees.
Commuters can use the Lyft mobile app at any time without restrictions to request rides to/from Caltrain stations, including Lawrence and Mountain View and the Great America station serving Amtrak and Altamont Corridor Express trains.
Three office buildings are completed at the Santa Clara Square with two buildings occupied. The second phase of the project, under construction, will include five additional 220k SF buildings dubbed The Campus @ Santa Clara Square. This second phase is expected to be completed by the end of this year and the middle of 2017. Initial tenants include Ericsson, Advanced Micro Devices and Cambridge Industries Group.
The campus also will feature an open-air gathering place with casual workspaces dubbed The Commons, the Commons Café, an outdoor living room and complimentary WiFi, and a fitness center and wellness services dubbed KINETIC.
