Tech Giant SAP Inks Bishop Ranch Lease
Software tycoon SAP, the namesake of the San Jose Sharks' stadium, inked a 150k SF lease at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon. The company will move 450 employees from Dublin to 2600 Camino Ramon, taking about a sixth of the building's 1M SF of empty space. The 1.8M SF building is in the center of the office park, which has 6M SF of office and retail space, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Tenants include Chevron and IBM. Last year, Sunset Development Co, the developer, owner and manager of Bishop Ranch, locked down starchitect Renzo Piano Building Workshop to design the plaza district portion of the 26-acre City Center (rendered here). The first phase will have 350k SF of retail, including a movie theater. It's scheduled to open in late 2016. [SFBT]
