Silicon Valley Perfect For Senior Housing, Says Alliance Residential
As the affluent workers of Silicon Valley age, they’ll need a place to stay that serves their unique needs. That’s the bet Alliance Residential is making as it “aggressively” expands into this segment, according to the San Francisco Business Times.
The first part of this new brand and strategy is a 200-unit assisted living project in San Jose at 4606 Almaden Expressway. Alliance hopes the four-story project will offer an experience reminiscent of a hotel rather than a hospital. Baby Boomers are looking for different options as they retire and enter senior living, and developers are looking to attract active retirees.
The company is making a play for this market given the extent to which it is underserved. [SFBT]
