In this role, she supports the overall system and clinical business operations and oversees government relations, marketing and communications. Phillips has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, the past 14 of which have been in operations leadership roles. Most recently, she served as chief operating officer and vice president of Children’s Services at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, California. In addition to her time at Benioff Children’s Hospitals, she served at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.   Cynthia Dold began serving as the interim president of UW Medicine Hospitals & Clinics on Oct. 2, 2022. In this role, she is responsible for leading a clinical system with three hospitals, a network of primary, urgent and specialty care clinics and an air medical transport service. In previous positions at UW Medicine, including Associate Vice President for Clinical Operations and Director of Strategic Planning and Clinical Integration, Dold has led diverse teams of employees focused on access, digital health, service line implementation, emergency management and post-acute care. She has also provided administrative oversight for UW Medicine’s nationally recognized response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dold is known for leading strategic planning initiatives and fostering collaborations with federal, state and local government leaders and other healthcare organizations.   I was on my first construction crew at 14 years old and worked construction through college. After an early career in marine biology working in aquaculture and for the Wa State Dept of Fish and Wildlife, I returned to construction where I worked for an independent contractor building high-end custom homes for a decade. In 2009, I went to work for Jefferson Healthcare as a maintenance carpenter and project coordinator. In 2014 I was promoted to Construction Project Coordinator/USDA recognized Resident Inspector for our 45,000 square foot MOB project we were undertaking. Chris has earned credentials as a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Measurement and Verification Professional, Building Energy Assessment Professional, and received a Certificate in Life Science and Biotechnology from MIT. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. Creative Energy develops, owns, and operates district energy systems to facilitate long-term renewable energy partnerships. The First Hill Initiative in Seattle will dramatically reduce neighborhood carbon emissions. Partners on this project include Providence Swedish, Westbank, and other neighborhood facilities. Creative Energy funds community energy developments at city-scale ranging from $10M to $250M+. Thier projects emphasize urban "place-making", with energy solutions that redefine public spaces to promote better urban design, to enhance quality of life, and to generate new social, cultural and economic opportunities. The residential and institutional developments connected to these systems get a massive leap forward toward a zero-carbon future, while enjoying reduced construction costs, energy code compliance, long-term energy cost certainty, and simplified operations.

  Dylan Hayes

  Dylan Hayes is the Healthcare Specialist for Security Solutions Northwest, a Washington based security and fire integrator partner. He is responsible for leading healthcare relationships, technology solutions, strategy and oversight for projects and customers. He transitioned from Seattle Children's Hospital and Research Institute after serving 23 years in security, IT, and emergency program leadership. Over his career, he managed the technical and complex integrated security system design, project implementation, and service support of 4,000,000 SF for all Seattle Children's expansion and renovation projects across the region from 1999-2023. His responsibility included the 24-acre hospital campus, regional clinics, admin buildings and (later) research campus. He is dedicated to the collaborative, integrated design process, making strategic thoughtful long-term security infrastructure and software investments that provide holistic organizational value. Dylan is passionate about a high-quality, safe, and therapeutic, patient care environment and extending the security infrastructure data and tools to drive business resilience, operational efficiency, and compliance to the front-line teams across all the service lines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Central Washington University and the esteemed CPP credential from ASIS and CHPA from IAHSS. He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security and Washington State Crime Prevention Association. He has also served as an educator for Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design for local law enforcement and security professionals across Washington State.
