City Casino Vote Called Off
A city Executive Committee meeting scheduled for March 20-- aimed at voting on a report on proposals to build a casino in Toronto--has been delayed. Tony Bitonti, a OLG spokesperson, says itcomes downto the city'sneed for more time to get additional info on whats been proposed. (Also of concern: therenderingshows bears walking around without supervision.) Two zones are being considered for the location of a casino: C1 (Downtown, Exhibition Place, which is the rendering above, casino proposal in the C1 category) and C2 (Woodbine racetrack). No official date yet on when it will go to Executive Committee. Part of the report includes input from the public.
