New Pinnacle Project Would Extend Yonge Street
Pinnacle International's new multi-tower site--just north of 1 Yonge St--is now the very early stages of approval, having gone to the city last week. We have an extensive journey ahead of us, says Pinnacle VP of sales and marketing Anson Kwok of the waterfront destination comprising six skyscrapers--the tallest at 88 storeys--extensive retail, a public square, and apromenade. It's all at the base of Yonge Street, where the Toronto Star building sits. A shorter-term obstacle is approval from the Waterfront Toronto Design Review Panel. Award-winning Hariri Pontarini is the architect, working with Pinnacle to help steer the project through that process.
