Ryerson Student Group Sees Growth Potential
Next month, Colton Creber steps aside as president of student club Real Estate Ryerson, and student Shelina Ally takes the mantle. With over 500 members, the club is growing--and has potential to expand with a real estate major entering the Ryerson curriculum next year, Shelina (snapped this morning) tells us. The objective remains to showcase real estate in as many ways as possible so students can see it as a career path.
Seven events per semester are planned for next year(above is one recent workshop), featuring leading industry insiders, many looking toward Ryerson as a rich source for recruitment.As Shelina goes into her fourth year in the school's business management program, she may have less time to pursue her musical hobbies, especially the clarinet. She adds, I am hoping to continue to give kids a really well-rounded view of where they can go in a career in real estate. (We'll need to find someone else to play clarinet for our cover of Steely Dan's "Babylon Sisters.")
