The city of Mississauga is kicking in $10M over 10 years (long live the metric system) to help build the University of Toronto Mississauga's Innovation Complex, which Mayor Hazel McCallion says is the latest step in building a "culture of innovation" in the city. After all, it's in the city's strategic plan to develop talent and create such partnerships; at U of T, undergrads and grads will participate in programs that integrate with external business and community stakeholders. The four-storey building is scheduled to open in September '14, and the grant will support the construction of the $35M complex.
