Groundbreaking At 16 York
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for 16 York, a $479M, 32-storey office tower in the city’s south core. The project, capitalizing on the hot Toronto office market, is moving forward on spec without an anchor tenant.
Cadillac Fairview and the Ontario Pension Board own 16 York, which will have 879K SF of premium office space, three underground parking levels and ground-level retail.
Cadillac Fairview president and CEO John Sullivan shared the first shovel at the May 17 groundbreaking with executive vice president of development Wayne Barwise, Ontario Pension Board CEO Mark Fuller and PCL vice president and district manager Bruce Sonnenberg.
The building is slated to open June 1, 2020.
