Dream Unlimited and founder/CEO Michael Cooper have jointly pledged $1M to Women’s College Hospital, a donation that helps move its redevelopment closer to completion. WCH and Women’s College Hospital Foundation also announced the formation of a partnership with Dream that involves the organizations exchanging knowledge, ideas and best practices around innovation, leadership and risk management, “leveraging each other’s strengths to build a better future for Canadians,” said honorary WCHF chair Ed Clark, noting this “sets a precedent for a new type of relationship between businesses and charities.”

Michael, seen here with WCH’s Dr. Onil Bhattacharyya and Dr. Danielle Martin during a recent education session for Dream employees focusing on women's health, innovation and leadership from the hospital’s perspective, says the two organizations “could learn a lot from each other when it comes to addressing the challenges facing Canadians today.” While their industries are different, “what Women’s College is doing makes a lot of business sense to me.” Phase 1 of WCH’s new 400k SF state-of-the-art ambulatory (outpatient) care facility—dubbed Hospital of the Future—is now open. Phase 2 of the $460M project is slated for completion later this year.
