NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT has acquired Australia’s Generation Healthcare Management, investment manager for Generation Healthcare REIT, for C$56M. The deal grows NorthWest’s assets under management in Australasia (encompassing Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea and neighbouring islands) to $1.5B. It includes an option to acquire additional shares in Generation Healthcare REIT, with a portfolio of 17 hospitals, medical centres (including the one seen above) and senior facilities, plus an A$105M acquisitions and development pipeline. This would increase NorthWest's stake in Generation Healthcare to 19.9%.
