Billy Bishop Airport Terminal Sold to Consortium
A group led by InstarAGF Asset Management has emerged victorious in the bidding war to buy the Billy Bishop airport terminal from Porter Aviation Holdings. Nieuport Aviation Infrastructure Partners—a consortium of Canadian and international infrastructure investors that also includes Kilmer Van Nostrand Co (one of the firms building Canary District in the West Don Lands)—will manage, operate and maintain the terminal under a long-term lease from Ports Toronto, the owner and operator of Billy Bishop City Centre Airport, Canada’s ninth-largest, with 2.4M passengers in 2014. Purchase price was not disclosed.
