Markham is Getting a York University Campus
York Region will no longer have the dubious distinction of being North America’s largest municipality without a university. The province has unveiled plans for a new York University campus in downtown Markham, in partnership with Seneca College. The campus, serving 4,000 students with joint programs offered by York and Seneca, will be built on a five-acre site north of Highway 407 between Kennedy Road and Warden Avenue, on land donated by the City of Markham.
